Molly Maine is a professional freelance illustrator and designer from London, known for her bold and graphic travel illustrations. Her eye-catching artwork uses light, colour, and perspective to set the scene and capture the essence of a place, sparking curiosity and a sense of adventure. Specialising in commercial illustration, Molly partners with brands and publications that share her passion for exploration and cultural connection, creating visually compelling artwork that resonates with global audiences.

Molly graduated from Falmouth University in 2009 with a BA in Illustration and an MA in Creative Advertising, which included a year studying Illustration at Nagoya University of Art in Japan. She went on to work for eight years in London’s creative industries, spending five years with the book publisher Walker Books.

​

In 2016, Molly transitioned to freelancing as a designer and illustrator. She left London to live a nomadic lifestyle, travelling the world full-time while running her design and illustration studio on the go. Eight years later, having explored over 50 countries, Molly continues to work and manage her studio remotely as she travels.

​​

Molly's illustrations and animations combine hand-drawn and digital techniques, utilising Procreate, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Her distinctive style is bold, clean, and well suited to advertising and publishing projects. Whether she's bringing a brand's campaign to life or designing a captivating book cover, Molly aims to create artwork that evokes curiosity, stirs emotion, and transports viewers to new and exciting places.

Her clients include Sky News, Harvey Nichols, and Penguin Random House. She is currently based between London and Lisbon.
