Last week, I was over the moon to be featured in a Graduate Spotlight interview by Falmouth University, where I studied Illustration many years ago. The interview gave me the chance to reflect on my journey since leaving university, my experiences as a creative, and how I’ve navigated the industry as a digital nomad.
In the feature, I talk about how my Study Abroad experience in Japan back in 2007 shaped my artistic voice, blending Japanese influences with my evolving style. I also share insights into my life as a digital nomad, working from over 50 countries, and how this freedom has impacted my creative work. Japan remains a key inspiration, and I’m excited to be returning soon as a speaker at Colive Fukuoka this October, Asia’s largest digital nomad festival, and an Artist in Residence in Kanazawa.
